Abstract

The study aims to develop a conceptual model regarding the role of organizational learning in mediating transactional leadership to enhance organizational innovation. This research involved 83 craft MSME actors who had been established for at least two years, had at least one employee, produced finished products, and was selected to participate in and be nominated for the leading MSME catalog in Kebumen Regency. The research results show that all the hypotheses proposed in this study are supported. This explains that the collaborative factor of organizational learning affects organizational innovation, transactional leadership affects organizational innovation, organizational learning affects transactional leadership, and organizational learning mediates transactional leadership to increase organizational innovation. Thus the theories that become the reference and the logical relationship between the variables built for developing the hypothesis in this study are confirmed. The construction of the conceptual model developed in this study captures business phenomena in the field, so it can become a reference in developing MSMEs in Kebumen Regency.
